OnlineAthens enters Comics Kingdom realm
Starting today, readers who log onto OnlineAthens.com/comics will discover a brand-new way to indulge their passion for The Funnies Pages.
An entertainment channel called Comics Kingdom makes its digital debut today. In it, there's something for everyone, everyday - and it's free.
When you log onto OnlineAthens.com, you'll be able to read more than 60 hugely popular comic strips. Presented every day in full color, the list of comic strips and panels distributed by King Features Syndicate includes both contemporary and classic favorites such as Zits, Mutts, Blondie, Beetle Bailey and H gar the Horrible.
The comics are organized by category for easy search.
And, with a 30-day archive for each strip, you'll have more than 1,500 comic strips to choose from on any given day.
Comics Kingdom includes several sections: featured comics information zones and links to content you may not have seen; comic sliders on every page to highlight relevant comics and recommend comics you might enjoy; comics organized by category like pets, moms, political, etc.; a spotlight on the most popular comics. You can rate your favorite comics and see them move to the top of the list.
When you click on "Favorites," you may add up to 63 comics to your "Favorites" page. The next time you return to Comics Kingdom, you'll be taken straight to your favorites, where you can see four comics at a time on each page.
In addition to reading the comic strips, you can learn about the comic, the cartoonist and the characters.
You can rate the comics and e-mail your favorites to a friend.
